What Did I Gain?

"If you are born poor

It's not your mistake

But If you die poor

It is definitely your mistake"

Understanding the essence of these words wrong

I started running behind money when I was really very young.

I worked hard day and night

To reach greater heights

Sacrificing all my happiness

Putting my relationships at stake

Not giving heed to any heartbreak

Making money was my only priority

I wanted to be rich before I die

But then I didn't realize

That I won't be taking anything with me into the graveyard.

I came naked into the world and I would die the same as well.

If I had understood this simple logic

My life would have been wonderful without any magic
