Live Your Life

It seems that my teenage was so bleak. 

For I never went out on birthday parties, 

And never got surprise gifts.

I never bunked my classes,

I never went to movies. 

I never talked to my crush,

I never had that red blush. 

I never got red roses,

I never tried cool poses.

I never dressed like a queen, 

Not even in sweet sixteen. 

I never played the guitar,

Never been a star. 

I never thought of my dreams,

Never cared for hobbies. 

Thinking this, I was unhappy one day. 

But that was my past by the way. 

Now I am a grown-up girl, 

Ready to explore this world. 

I have come up beyond my limit,

As life has a count for every minute.
