Getting Up For A Better Day
Getting Up For A Better Day
I don’t get up every day, thanking and praying
For a sad day as, no one is foolish enough
To make penances for and work hard towards
A saddening life
There are different tastes, there are different days
Every day is the promise of another day
Although, life’s predictions somehow
Is not what we have been expecting
But we do get up for a better day
As there needs to be a night after each hard day
There needs also, to be a day, after
The frightening nightmares
So, with that irrevocable vow; there is a conviction
That this day is going to be at most, elating
To travel through
It pulls my strength; I get off the bed
Hopes high, my day is getting better
Hope, of getting a better rewarding day
Delivers and provide freedom
From the clutches of solitary dejections
Hope, though sometimes, the last trump card
That provides a permanent impression that
We are winning in the end; victory is close.
