I don’t resemble you, 

I am not of you,

But am I so different?

Aren’t we the same?

I am from the morrow, 

Yes, a little unfamiliar,

But am I so scary?

Aren’t you suppose to embrace me?

I came unannounced,

So you thought,

But am I so sudden?

Weren’t you planning for me?

I am not what you expected,

Yes, because I am change,

But am I so unwelcome?

Weren’t you longing for me?

I am not of your belief, 

Nor following your conventions,

But am I so unruly?

Weren’t you hoping for me?

I am what you conceived,

Yes, I am your creation,

But am I so abhorrent?

Weren’t you imagining me?

I am the future, full of adventure,

You are the past, full of experience,

Yet, I am what you fear?

Weren’t you suppose to enjoy me?

Don’t push me, don’t deny me,

Accept me, love me, believe in me,

Because I am you, and you are me,

Together we make our story.
