Longing For You!

I am going through a rainy season,

Summers have just gone, and there is another reason.

Clouds hovering all over, not a day of sunshine,

Nevertheless, I smile and say, “I’m fine.”

Rivers overflowing at places and puddles formed at some,

There has been no morning and night is yet to come.

Dusty leaves, pale flowers, dull minds have got some rest,

How I wish you would be here when nature is at its wettest best.

So much to share, so much to hear, so much to tell you,

Sometimes I wonder how much do I long for you …

This picture of ours has not seen you for quite a while,

I always see you in the picture and wait for you to smile...

Gone was the sense of time since you went,

My eyes are full of tears, without you there is no vent…

I so cherish the memorable days I spent with you,

Once again, I want to say, “I love you, Do you?”
