Hope

For too long I have lived dying,

Hurt myself trying,

Looking for that meaning,

I could never find.

To covet things that were never mine.

With every breath comes a sigh,

Tired yet I try.

Wish I could tell myself to stop,

To see that everything has already been lost.

But hope gets me every time,

Keeps me alive,

Only to kill me one more time.
