A Pure Soul

In the outskirts of Bugiyal in Uttrakhand, there is a remote village named Saangri. It is situated between two beautiful valleys having a panoramic view of the utmost colorful nature. The beautiful valley is always covered with colorful flowers and having cool weather. The sunrise and sunset is a breathtaking view. The orange color of sunrise and sunset seems like a blessing of God at the peak of its beauty. It is a remote and less known village comprising of only 250 families. The people at Saangri live a simple life and usually depend on sheep raring or farming. There is a small school till tenth class where children go to study. For higher studies, one needs to go out of the city. As a result, many children get into farming or sheep raring work after completing their tenth class. But there was an extraordinary family comprising of two daughters of seven and five years. They lost their father when they were at a very tender age. But the elder daughter was quite sensitive and responsible. She saw her mother struggling hard for their survival and never made any compromise for their studies. She wanted her both daughters to study and to stand on their feet. No one knew as to what was going on in her mind. She promised herself that she would look after her family throughout her life. She was focused and goal oriented. She wanted to share the responsibility of her mother. 

After completion of her schooling at the village, she moved to Delhi for higher studies. She completed her bachelor’s degree and did MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. Along with her studies, she started working part-time to earn money. She somehow shared her part of the responsibility and called her mother and sister to stay with her in Delhi. She is called as Pari by her mother and she was a synonym to her name. She got a job in an MNC and she got admission to her sister Menka in a college. Her mother also started giving tuition to children. Pari bore the maximum expenses of the family and supported her sister in getting a job. Menka got married and just after four years of marriage got separated from her husband and started living with her family with her two children. Menka also got a job with the help of her sister. 

Pari had a pure heart and soul. She was a beautiful and cheerful girl who was always ready to help the needy be at the office or outside. She was an animal lover who used to feed a lot of stray dogs in her neighborhood. She used to spend ten percent of her salary on them religiously. She was helpful, but the fate was that she never got appreciation neither from her colleagues nor from the office management for her hard work and dedication. Everyone cheated her. They took benefit of her pure heart and soul. She knew this but still, she kept on helping everyone selflessly. She had great faith in God. She believed that one day will come in her life when her voice is heard. She truly dedicated her life to her family. She did not even marry as she treated her niece and nephew as her own children. She trusted her mother the most. She never imagined her life without her mother who supported her throughout even at odd times. Being her biggest support, Pari requested her mother to leave her job and to rest in her old age. But mother blessed her success and told her,” Pari, Time comes once an opportunity knocks at the door. You be a good soul and have faith in God. One day will come when people would realize their mistake and would appreciate your efforts.” That day finally arrives when she was given the senior post she was looking for. She went abroad four times on the official trip. She thanked her mother for her blessings. Today she is leading a successful life with pure heart and soul.
