An Ode To Words

When I started writing four years back, all I knew was that I would write good. But as time passed, I realised I was writing what I felt, what I experienced, what had emotions. And when I sat down to write the lines, sentences and phrases; there was just one thing I knew. And that was – write to express.

We all are used to read something. Maybe it’s a news article, a facebook post, something on the Kindle or just the hoarding across the street. And if that is well expressed, it connects with you right away. This is what I wanted my lines to do. And this happened because of one thing – words.

We as humans have emotions. At times our eyes express them and the other times, words emote them. Words are like blood to your feelings, they give you life. They give you a chance to express your deepest feelings. They can make you and they can break you. Words, if used correctly; are nothing less than magic. They bring people together, they bridge the gap between countries. They plug the emptiness in a relationship. When I say, “I love you”; that line is not just about three words. That line is me. That line is you. That line is the feeling between you and me. And that sounds magical. It brings us closer and makes us one. If there weren’t words, you and I wouldn’t be us.

Words inspire, they motivate, it pumps you up, hurts you and makes you feel beautiful. The word “Beautiful” has a charm attached to it, it has a ring to it. And when I say, “Mother, you look beautiful”; it makes her day. She lives a hundred years at that moment. That is the magic of words.

When these words are spoken from the bottom of your heart with the purest intent and feelings, they create magic.
