My First Success

One fine summer afternoon I was writing a cyber Olympiad after school. I was really anxious to get a medal. So I worked so hard and tried to answer all the questions asked in the Olympiad correctly. But there was a question I couldn't understand so I tried to recall everything I had revised earlier and wrote the answer after 20 minutes of thinking.

Time was almost up and I was still on the 4 th question when I thought of an idea. I had decided to complete all the questions I know with all my determination and finally completed the Olympiad one minute prior to the end of the Olympiad. The teacher collected my paper and I left for home with my mother in an auto- rickshaw. It was really dusty inside the auto-rickshaw. We had finally reached home so my mom gave the money to the driver and then we took the elevator to our house.

I always used to check the e-mail for any update on my Olympiad results. I was very eager to know my results after all.The next day I couldn't concentrate at all in class as I was still thinking about my results which I was still waiting for. I was staring out of the window when my teacher suddenly tapped me on my shoulder and told me to move the first math sum. As I was in my own thoughts before I couldn't understand math sum. My teacher told me pay more attention next time. After a few more minutes the bell had rung and we all rushed to the art room for our next class.

Over there also I was in my own thoughts thinking about my results and cutting in all directions the paper I had to actually colour. My teacher suddenly tapped me on my shoulder and told me to redo my work as it had got all messy with holes on it.

After 2 months

Finally the results had come and had got to know I had won first prize which meant a gold medal. I was very glad to see this and I decided to have a party for that joyous moment.

The next day my Medal was awarded to me by my principal and coordinator It was the best moment of my life as it was my first medal in an Olympiad which was a little tricky.

Since then I have been getting many gold, bronze and silver medals in many other Olympiads and competitions.
