A lady in saree, with a baby in her arms and a kid walking, holding her hand.

She was tired, and wanted to sit somewhere for a while. But, the kid was enthusiastic, he didnt want to stop. He was running ahead and his mother was asking him to wait for her.

Oh! He fell, and he shrieked, she was worried, she ran towards him and he suddenly stood up asking her mother to step faster.

His name was Sameer, and he wanted to reach the top, so that prayers for his sister could reach Mata Vaishno Devi as soon as possible.

This family, was ahead of me from the very beginning. I started trekking; that is from Katra, inspiration that over rolled from bottom to the top.

She seemed worried, throughout the way. She had been walking along, and was chanting althrough. Sameer gave her the strength, he asked her to calm down and to take a deep breath.

The moment she sat, I took some quick steps to do the same. So that, I could see and follow the bravery and originality, he gave for the rest of my life.

He came, he murmured in his mother's ear, Mumma, who is she and why is she following us?

She looked at me and gave a smile. I called him, he was shy but soon he appeared to be so talkative. He asked me the reason, why I was trekking to the top.

My reply was,"Because I love trekking and was waiting for it."

He laughed and said Di you know what! I am here to pray for my sister. My father, he is no more with us, what I have is my lovely sister and a super mother. There was silence for a moment.

It caused sorrow for both of us. I just couldnt smile after that, but the silly jokes he was cracking were of the top most level.

We started walking again. He shouted! Didi look! you are going to kill that ant, just stop! dont move ahead. (I hugged him tight, because, I wanted a little courage to handle his courage)

He was hungry, and repeatedly asking his mother to stop at some or the other shop.

She was replying to wait for some time, when we will reach the top, I will make you eat something.

I couldnt ignore his hunger, I was hungry too; plus no stuffs to eat in the bag. I decided to stop at a Dhaba for Rajma Chawal that costs just Rs 20 per plate, and is really yummy.

I asked them to have the meal with me . He was offering me the food from his plate too. That moment was precious.

Rajma Chawal and that too having it with lovely souls is what is famous in Vaishno Devi.

A single life could never step alone to the top till the time, there is no companion who shouts from the back "Zor Se Bolo Jai Mata Di".

The trek of about 16.8km, from Katra to Vaishno Devi though having waiting areas in between was unpredictable .It wouldnt have been this, if that boy wasnt open to the surrounding.

Kids have a soul that of God, is truly said by someone. They don't need hours to recognise and to put their hearts infront. They could be the bestest friend with no hard intentions in their head.

We were there at the top i.e. Kaal Bhairav after 6 hours of trekking, rested there for an hour or two, had Prashad, and clicked some photos. The scenic beauty were not really capturable because, not everything could be seen through such a small lens and too of such a vast nature.
