Born from a simple family, the village girl got married early. With a lack of empathy, a burden of her new family members the Vijaya left and came to Chennai.

Vijaya learned about life, an early age. As she was working in a mill she happened to meet Vinun, a director and co-artist in the cinema industry.

There was something special about Vijaya.

She was an extraordinary learner, soft-spoken girl, her eyes and physical appearance was extraordinary and her soft voice changed her into a package that Vinun couldn't reject.

There was a good friendship between Vinun and Vijaya, soon Vijaya became closer to Vinun's family.

Vijaya who once lost everyone started gaining hopes in life, she started her acting career as a side artist and dancer, slowly she gained popularity among the audience.

The media played their role the criticized her as a soft porn artist. but nothing could stop the confident Vijaya.

In 1980, Vijaya was at her peak she gained popularity and started acting in the various film industry across India. It was the time where new directors made their way into the industry, some directors recognized Vijaya's personality and offered her character role.

She was opened to any roles, and she proved herself that she can be seen beyond a sex symbol.

There is a beauty beyond the lust, the media and audience did see it in Vijaya. It was a life turning opportunity. Her parents started seeing her potential and realized their mistake they joined her and shared the love and affection which she missed in most of her life.

Vijaya was a straight forward, yet bold actress of the Indian industry. Many of them like to see her movies and dance steps though it created a lot of controversies as well.

Vijaya though stepped through the career of the film industry slowly but steadily, the society did accept her boldness, beauty, and talent.

The career path of Vijaya differed from the main heroine of the film, but her talents and none biased film industry did recognize her as an actress.

The cloud of depression, loneliness got lit by

the warmth of the love and affection of the audience and her parents, soon Vijaya had a love affair with one of her fans, out of blue he was a broad-minded person dashingly attracted by her character.

Their love is strong enough to hold their marriage life, today Vijaya and Rahim continue to lead a life blessed with two children.

Vijaya continues to explore her career as a director, cinematographer, etc...her age may not give her a hand in the film industry, but her passion and attitude keep her going firm in a male-dominated industry by battling the creative media-oriented without facts.

Vijaya alias Silk Sumita, the name of the artist differs from country to country, but their biopic doesn't.

If something needs to change it is the mind of the society, acceptance of people for what talent pocess by having empathy.

No one likes to get portrayed or being called a sex symbol, the artists either do it for their family needs, out of compulsion or being cheated by a trusted person.

When you start seeing the soul and attitude of an artist beyond the sex symbol we can see a long-lived future of those artists in the industry.

No point in making a biopic if it is just for entertainment without food for thought.
