She tried to scream, but she felt she had lost her voice. To her dismay she was still alive to feel the hurt he had inflicted upon her. The wound was not to be seen, never to be seen. Her heart was bleeding to the extent where it would feel no pain, but she still felt it one more time.
His every word, before disappearing into oblivion, stabbed through her heart, pierced through her soul. She wanted to hold him close one last time. She wanted to feel his heartbeat against hers. She wanted to feel his pulse getting faster with her touch.
As she bent down to kiss him, she woke up with a jolt, she was sweating. It was not him, but their relationship that she saw dying that night.
