Flag Fighter - "Naveen Jindal"

Did you guys know, who is Naveen Jindal??

On 14 July 1947, our present tricolor of India was officially accepted. But the monopoly of hoisting the flag was reserved only for the rulers and government officers excluding the common citizen. Even Flag can hoist by them only on Independence day & Republic Day.

Meanwhile in the year 1992 a young Indian man named Naveen Jindal studying MBA at the University of Texas, USA. His continuous efforts n prolonged commitment to this issue, He fought a long legal battle and finally in the year 2002, the Parliament amended the law and gave the right to the common citizen of the country to hoist the national flag for 365 days. Thus the national flag of India which became independent on August 15 1947 became truly independent after 54 years.

On this 75th independence day, Let's Thanks this man for his great contribution that we all can hoist the National Flag in our homes too.
