A Banker's Day
A Banker's Day
It starts off,
With a call from the Head Office,
'Today is the 'MahaLogin Day'
Of 'Life', 'Mutual Fund' etc,
You 'have' to do it anyway.'
Then comes a call,
'Sir/Madam, aaj mother bimaar hain
Or main bimaar hoon,
Can't come.'
Then between 1st and 10th of the month,
One of the counter staff says
'Madam, I am also unwell,'
And from 11th onwards becomes too well
Then the Head Office says,
'Today is the P- Review
Be present at 3:00 p.m.,
At a distance too long,
With all the figures,
Right or wrong.'
Then a call comes,
'Madam, Auditor might come,
Be prepared, at your best,
But don't ask us for staff,
We will support you with the rest.
'If the Audit goes wrong,
The fault is yours,
If it goes right,
We were always there to support you.'
This is the irony of a Banker's Day
Things gone wrong is your baby,
And gone right is everyone's to share with
