A Bird Trapped In A Cage

I am a bird trapped in a golden cage,

Where expressing my view on eating my choice of food is out of rule.

My smile is completely fake but too beautiful to please the cage.

I was blessed with a beautiful body to face which became the reason why I am caged,

As I was getting compliments my life was becoming tough again.

Burning my face to physically hurt, I had met all stages in the small journey of this cage,

I am a bird trapped in a golden cage,

I look happy on a social media page, but tears sweep inside each beautiful page.

Waiting for one who can see my real face, with whom I don't need to hide my face,

I am a bird trapped in a golden cage,

Finally, one Angel saw me from far, touched my heart and without words have me a spark,

Learning to fly out in this world alone, trying to break this cage which is too strong,

I am a bird trapped in a golden cage.
