A Day for Love

Someone told me,

A day is needed for love,

A special celebration,

And a special occasion.

I retorted,

Why a special day?

Why a special occasion?

Why some special arrangements?

Since every day is made for love

Love doesn't demand all those excuses,

If love is true and sincere

Between the stakeholders,

Love doesn't demand any chocolates or a teddy bear to impress;

If love is based on Truth.

Love doesn't need any hugs or kisses to be shown off;

No roses or gifts need to be exchanged,

If the trust between the partners

Is kept intact;

Once the trust is broken,

And the promises are not kept,

Trust me, that is no love,

But compromise.
