A Fond Adieu
A Fond Adieu
On the meandering road,
I stand near the lake.
Holding the ear
As self-punishment,
You come
And hug me.
Your nose
Grapple with mine amicably
And
With a smile,
I purloin the redness
Of your pink lips.
As you nudge me,
I hold you again
In my arms to coo,
'I love you'.
Winking at my eyes,
You whisper a fond adieu,
Promising
You would come
Early tomorrow
For the tryst.
