A Glance At The Past
A Glance At The Past
A glance at the past made me think
That how this modernization has made the world shrink
All our ancient ways and techniques are no more the same
All human society looks for is false fame.
We have undoubtedly developed with time and age
Not realizing that this development is not less than a cage.
A cage which can trap us for sure
To trap us, it has AI and much more to lure
This is clear looking at today’s scene
Where there is a gadget in the hands of every child and teen
The direction of this motion is not right
As we see around a world filled with crimes and fight
There’s an increase in technological developments on one hand
On the other, murder and molest rates are impossible to stand
All the youth is taught is to achieve laurels
But what is the use if the youth is misled due to lack of morals
This is because they have never been told
That our ancient culture is exotically rich and bold
Gone are the days when children would play ancient games
Kho kho, chor police, kabaddi, ice pice, and endless names
I feel that I would have surely enjoyed in those days
That bliss cannot be felt in today’s technical ways
A glance at the past made me feel
That happiness then was real and not reel.
