A Life Of Pedagogy (Week 27 Theme: Teacher)
A Life Of Pedagogy (Week 27 Theme: Teacher)
One’s parents are the best teachers in the universe
They teach us about the ways of the world – diverse
Books also teach us lessons through simple verse
Think about your noble teachers before uttering words of curse.
Teachers earn more respect than any other person,
We remember them and their words for certain,
However much we may get embroiled in troubles urban,
They are the ones who corrected mistakes over a semicolon.
I have had very good teachers throughout my life
I never bothered whether he or she was a husband or a wife,
They were the ones who shaped me for the strife
That lay ahead, segregated into years, with the help of a knife.
Some of my teachers are now my friends on social media
I look back upon those years without opening an encyclopedia,
They taught me language and literature a la comedia,
Those days went by before the advent of multimedia.
A student learns while a teacher teaches,
She imbibes whatever learning her pedagogue preaches –
She stares up at her educator whose brilliance outshines golden peaches
In her own golden years, she looks back and relives those screeches!!
