A Little Of This And A Little Of That

Jugaad,

Taking something and using it

to its full potential

Something Indians are great at 

I learn that word while playing runny

I need a 7 of spades to finish my sequence

but it was used in smaller sequence

My mom took over for me.

She scrambled all the sequences

Sat and sorted all the cards

Shuffled and reshuffled

Finally ending up with 4 perfect sequences!

"Wow!" I said in awe

"It's just jugaad," she said and laughed

After that day

I began seeing examples

EVERYWHERE

at home

at school

Everyone used it,

unknowingly

it amazed me how much we do 

unknowingly

Chair is too low 

Sit on the table

Rest your legs on the chair.

We do it for fun but its jugaad

Putting milk in a water bottle,

or putting water to increase the shampoo,

\We are being resourceful

but it's jugaad too

Everything we do is jugaad.

A little of this 

A little of that 

to create something new altogether.
