A Moment
A Moment
That was a moment to cherish,
Where feelings of joy would never perish,
Those teeny toes and puny hands,
Were yet to blossom in my palms,
A serene look on the face,
And partly opened eyes that amaze,
I kissed the forehead gently,
Painting divine thoughts deftly,
While I felt a wobbly heart,
Prayed silently that nothing should do us apart,
The fragile angel let out a feeble cry,
Snoozed off in a while with a soothing lullaby,
This was just the beginning,
In the expedition of parenting.
