"A Mother's Prayer"

"A Mother's Prayer"

Annoyed, Enraged, Perturbed, Queasy!!

But desired not this, I'm a mother

How can I afflict them?

'Thought' made me freezing

I warned them to curtail

Cautioned them to care for every living thing

Gave them signs in the form of Tsunami, bushfire, floods, earthquake, and glaciers melting

But they didn't heed my warnings

Cut down the forest to construct buildings

Livestock left in deplorable condition

Blessed not with the gift of communication

But body and soul to be hurt in vision

Languished for hours; shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut in divisions

Rendered insensible to pain by a single blow merciless

I warned them!!

But they turned a blind eye to this cruelty

Every living thing has the right to live free of use and oppression absolutely

But they never gave heed elaborately

Then came this 'Tiny Agent' to rescue these lives Shaky, Apprehensive, Agitated, Frizzled out

To see my children in torment 'n dive Inconsolably they cry, my heart sinks

Stop chasing materialistic happiness and value each being

I plead the 'Almighty' to show mercy on my children's wellbeing.
