A NEW PAGE
A NEW PAGE
As the wipers cleared the mist on the windshield
My foggy head opened the door to memories.
Reflections, contemplations, musings
Flooded my inner space.
Overcrowding of sensibilities-
The good and the bad
The ‘whys’, ‘ifs’ and the ‘buts’
Obligating an attempt to rewrite the past
In my conscience.
The book that I was reading
Lay open, silent, seemingly forever
As if unwilling to disturb the flow.
A mute spectator, yet an edifier.
A gentle breeze teased my skin
And riffled the pages
Onto a new page in time.
