 I wish you’d be here, now

Coz I’m in absolute awe.

Oh, my lovely grandma,

Where are you? In Hungary or Warsaw?

Since the day you left, no one ever made me that coleslaw

Or are you just in that dream, I saw?

Coz I’m in absolute awe.

Just so you could accompany me to the bus stop

And I don’t have to stand alone as a prop.

I miss you like an idiot misses a point,

I would’ve forgotten the pain if you wouldn’t say me “never to roll a joint.”

I wish you’d be here, now

So,I could say you warmly Bella Ciao.

Do you know your 1st-grade granddaughter is in college, now

And you’ll always be her inspiration, oh wow!

Whenever I saw you I was struck with wonder and awe.

I wish you’d be here, now

Coz I’m in absolute awe

I wouldn’t be finding a guy to love me,

Only if you would be here with me, I agree.

To bring me mouth-watering chocolates for free,

Even after, mom refused to you. Bleh!

I wish you’d be here, now

So I could say you warmly Bella Ciao.

A special part you’ll always play,

I love you more than the words can say.

I hope, we meet again someday!
