A PRAYER

Oh! Lord 

Laid fast asleep for

Long nine months in her womb

Which was a quiet and comfortable room 

She took a lot of my care 

And fed me from her food share 

She tolerated my kicks and bounces 

Despite taking medicines ounces after ounces 

Without any sign of renounce 

Enough! Enough! her sacrifices and endurance LORD!

Please put a full stop.

And keep my birth

 In your priority list at the top 

Let me take a break from my slumber

And be counted in her family as a new member 

Anxious to see sparks of sunshine in her face 

And bring in her life cheer and grace 

It ’s stuffy and dark inside 

Let me come out soon 

And see the world outside 

Eager to feel the cool breeze 

And have long and cozy naps 

In her soft lovely and comfortable lap 

With my eyes open wide and sweet smiles 

Longing to stare at her 

Forever and ever 

And look back never 

Is my PRAYER!
