A Quest To Conquer
A Quest To Conquer
He walked through the forest
As naïve as a little boy could be.
He journeyed on and on
He felt like floating upon blobs of clouds.
His poor heart rejoiced
As he continued his search for the unknown
And his quest towards the unknown.
The boy never knew he was out in the wild.
Not until he opened his eyes
And saw tall, sturdy trees
Looking down on him.
Then he saw creatures of predatory gazes.
Their fangs glistened,
Their growls reverberated throughout him,
Their claws sank down the earthy soil.
The boy never knew he was in danger.
Not until adrenaline rushed through his veins
And his ears gone sensitive to his background.
All of a sudden,
He grew weary of his surroundings.
Heard every deep breath
Heard every crunch of his worn-out boots against the soil
And every rustling of the leaves and grass felt like waves crashing
And hurting.
He never knew what's happening.
Until everything dawned upon him
And every bit of him is hurting.
He opened his eyes once again,
Only to see
He was a pitiful victim
Of the ever greatest force known,
Love.
