A Romance with Nature
A Romance with Nature
Today the heart has felt sad,
Or maybe it has just felt bad,
A little tired, a little lonely,
A bit of both with life that flies.
After a long time,
Nature beckons to me,
Spreads its arms,
Like a mother
A sibling or a lover.
A day in the mountains,
Calls me from far away,
Asks me to join the way,
Of Life, so pure, so simple,
With no ill-will,
No jealousy,
To make me feel sick,
To make me feel queasy.
I want to fly on her wings,
Like the kite that flies,
From one tree to the next one.
But the life that I own,
Owns me instead,
Commands me to stay back,
There are lots to do instead.
The "Romance with Nature"
Can wait,
For a time,
When I can no longer fly.
Life tells me to wait,
For my duties can't,
Life tells me to wait,
For Nature will wait,
For me to "Return",
To her folds,
And sleep peacefully "for days to come".
