A Sleepless Night

Half of the world at this moment is asleep,

Why the heck am I still awake,

Revising through the secrets I gotta keep,

Or thinking about the choices I have to make...

Totally unaware about the stuff that's going on in my mind,

Few subjects damn ruthless others pretty kind...

Despite being extremely exhausted due to my recent journey,

My body demands some rest but my bed feels Thorny...

Having always led my life taking efforts to please my beloved ones,

And will continue to do so till the universe exhausts the last of its Suns...

If expecting approximately the same treatment is a crime, then punish me,

I'd happily accept my mistake & carry on with it foolishly....

But let me sleep with peace n let my soul be calm,

Can't handle being insomniac and anxious with a sweaty palm...

Thank god it is monsoon who motivates me to write n rhyme,

Or else it would have really been difficult for me to pass my time...

U know I think a lot then too you behave the same,

Still you are adamant enough to pass me that blame...

Making you understand a hundred times has proven highly worthless,

I sat creating a joke out of myself, made you understand again n was rendered "Shameless"...

You yourself saw me trembling then to you decided to remain tight,

And this idea of yours finally awarded me a "SLEEPLESS NIGHT"
