A World Without Women
A World Without Women
One night in my reverie
A woman knocked and thundered
"You callous male people don't
Deserve our tenderness and love,
What you deserve is earth full of
Only men. Take this as your retribution".
I wake up, shocked at what I watched.
Morning comes and I see
The home bereft of my
Mom and wife.
I think of that woman's words
And rush out to see the condition of
My locale and guess what?
Other women have also evaporated.
Now that woman's face dances
in front of me and her rigorous
Saying reverberates in my mind
All I can do is just
Pray to God for
Giving me and other men
Some tenacity to go through
This terrorizing plight.
News reports depict the melting
Of women all around the
Globe even from places like
Antarctica a global catastrophe has
Erupted on the Earth leaving
All men as sole remnants here.
I tremble in fear and
Panic engulfs me I imagine
The things women do for
Their well-being, their love
That calms us and their
Unmatched dedication and care
That runs this global society
And ensures happiness on
This globe.
I sit down at the stairs
Powerless to do anything
I cry as God today defeated us
And made us realize the
Role of women in our lives
All men around me join
Their hands in asking the
Holy Spirit for forgiveness.
Another image of that woman
Flashes before me and her
Now softer voice asserts that
We now have to live our lives
In this world without women.
