Inside the dark that surrounds me

Creeps upon my mind inch by inch

I hold my end among the chaos

For my head doesn't bow or flinch

Over the line of guilt and deceit

Lies but a place to grind and steal

Yet the wrath of running time

Can't break my unwavering will

Under the cloud of constant despair

Rests the grounds of abysmal pit

Still the looming horrors of pain

Can't make me nor my soul submit

At the mercy of a scarred fate

No matter what the odds are

For I am the writer of my story

I am its brightest shining star..
