All that remains are Sweet Memories...
All that remains are Sweet Memories...
Alas, my Sun has set and sunk never to dawn again
Victim of the infamous pandemic which lured him into its train
Forty eight sweet years of happy togetherness we shared
All snuffed in a jiffy when I was least prepared.
Loving daughters and lovely grandkids were waiting
But the Family Union in Lockdown kept us debating
All tickets were booked but save yourself none took flight
You seemed to be in a tearing hurry to flee from us at night.
You have left behind a treasure trove of sweet memories
Which I can share with future generations for centuries
Digitalised albums, collages, audio and video recording
Will bear testimony to our happy times which was never boring.
My Love, I am told that you must have taken birth elsewhere
Though where and how is something no one can share
Your beautiful Soul is sure to spread happiness all around
I wish and pray you will call me soon to where our love abounds.
