All Your Life

All your life, you were taught a set of rules, to keep everything simple and functional. but guess what? as you walk through life, there are bound to be good days and the bad ones.

There will be mornings where you won’t feel like getting out of bed. your heart would ache and you would be left wondering about the meaning of it all. you would lose a loved one and it would hurt like a cold blizzard across the face.

On other days, you would meet someone that reminds you of songs and butterflies. time would fly by in a jiffy and as you hold hands, a shared kiss would make you feel like the luckiest person in the whole wide world.

You know there would also be the average days – attending college, coming back home and a shared laugh or two squeezed in between.

Come to think of it, life is terrifying. you don’t know what’s next – if you are going to find love or get hit by a bus. yet somehow, in this giant labyrinth of unknown, the show goes on. because no matter what happens, no feeling is final.

So, let everything happen to you – the happy things and the sad ones, the successes and the failures. somewhere, in between the laughs, kisses and tears, you will find yourself.

and one fine day, you will look back & whisper to your self – thank you for going on. as they say, this too shall pass.
