The Canvas is a blank,
The brush held in my hand
Impatient to paint the world
As I view it, a flurry of colors.
The shimmering blue of the sky
Raises my hopes really high,
Its reflection in the sea
Drown my thoughts with glee.
The forest is a verdant green
The rays of the sun play hide and seek
To land gently on the ground
Weaving its way through the leaves.
People are another matter
Their true colors are so varied
Even the seven of the rainbow
Will not do be enough to show
But I will use my brush to paint the world
As I view it, in a flurry of colors
