An Irony!

To a person who had never loved, 

Love showed up unnoticed, 

And uninvited only to, 

Turn around my life, 

In ways, I can never comprehend.  

 

I wasn’t looking for love, 

But it arrived beckoning with, 

Inexplicable happiness, laughter and joy, 

Even amidst the tribulations of life. 

 

Those were the brightest days, 

That any girl would ever want, 

The 'One' I had never even, 

Imagined in my wildest dreams, 

Would be my side and stand by me. 

 

Everything felt surreal, 

Rendering each line musical, 

I was busy losing myself, 

In this magical world, 

Weaving unrealistic dreams, 

Of togetherness till eternity. 

 

While being simple and utterly 

Oblivious to an impending disaster, 

I woke up to the reality, 

Of being left alone, 

Ultimately becoming, 

A mere Facebook 'status'. 

 

With no clue as to when, 

The love had left, 

Leaving me only bereft, 

Mourning over the imminent loss, 

This phase was probably,

A 'momentary' pause.
