An Ode To My Mother

This song is for the ONE-- the most adorable in the world...

Bearing immense pains-- who brought us into the world...

She is the MOTHER-- the most precious gift for any child...

She is the MOTHER-- the most beautiful word in any dictionary...

She may be someone to the world...

But for me-- She is the world...

To know her well...

To bow me for her...

I went down the memory lane--

To see the hardships she suffered and brought me up...

Happily, for everyone, she was there...

Hiding her restlessness with a great flair...

Be it my first smile, my first meal, my first step or my first day at school-- she was always there to support...

Be it my dream, my passion or my ambition-- she was always there to support me...

The hands which held me tight when I had stumbled...

The arms which encircled me when I had felt scared...

The eyes which helped me differ between right and wrong...

The soothing words in times of distress...

The encouraging pat when I excel...

Who else can give her best...

Only a MOTHER--- the sweet angel...

Not a single tear in my eyes...

Or a mere discomfort in my heart...

She knew it all, she knew it all...

With her love and affection, she wiped them all, wiped them all...

Whenever I felt unwell or had the flu...

She sat beside me all through.

Never did she blink her eyes the whole night...

So that no mishap could miss her sight...

Still, never did her eyes brim...

Nor does her face have a frown...

And always she carried a graceful smile, as fresh as morning dew...

Dear Mother, never I nor anyone in the world can repay you back...

I just can thank God for such a beautiful relationship called 'MOTHER' in you...
