I shout across,

And scream and yell,

Hoping for someone to appear,

And save me from hell,

I waited and waited,

Seconds turned minutes,

Minutes turned hours,

Hours turned days, 

And days months and years,

And I still waited, 

And waited, 

With hope, 

I stood by, 

Watching people leave,

I still waited, 

And I called again,

There was no answer,

But I hoped someone must've heard,

And so I waited,

And still waited, 

I fought for myself,

Stood for myself, 

And waited for myself,

For someone,

To take me where love dwells,

And there's comfort in wells,

Where there's a sky of dreams,

And the air of ambition,

I still waited,

And waited,

And called again, 

There was no answer, 

It was later that I realized,

That this was,

An ode to nobody,
