Around The World In A Poem

I will travel all the seas and the different countries when I am grown.

Said my little Mary looking out of her window.

Oh where will you go

and what will you do?

Oh papa I want to explore the lands across the Sahara sands.

In Spain, I will go to watch a bullfight. Oh, that will be a rushing sight!

Sitting in the first row, cheering for the Matador, go go go!

When I am in Italy, I will gorge on their pizza and spaghetti.

Take in all the peace, on a boat ride through Venice

Cruising across the sea, I will reach Greece with its rich and famous history.

A train ride to the small nation famous for the Alps and its cheese by your side.

When you are in England, nothing have you seen until you click a picture with the Queen.

I will then travel to Egypt, the land of Pharaohs and take a ride on the humble camel.

After a breathtaking visit to the pyramids and a ferry on the Nile, my travel takes me to the wild savannah in Kenya where I come up close to the mighty lion and a zebra.

The beaches of South Africa are the best for surfing and also saying hello to the penguins.

With a long cruise over the rough seas, I will reach India, the land of love and diversity.

I love this vibrant country.

Right from the rich history to the irresistible biryani.

Their neighbour China awaits me... The land of the red dragon leaves everyone stunned with their technology.

I will visit the markets where your food will creep and crawl.

Then head over to gaze at the magnificent Wall.

Swimming with the fish is what Australia gives me.

Diving at the coral reef with a whole lot of colours to see.

Hello Brazil, where every day is a carnival and a reason to celebrate.

And this would be the last leg of my journey across the seas and a number of countries to come back to the only place I feel at home.

In your arms papa, I feel the world in my reach.
