Away From Home - A Common Story

There are more stars down than on the sky,

My heartbeat is faster than the wheels,

There are buildings touching the sky.

 

Alarm wakes me up now,

None to notice if I looked well,

None to keep record of what I ate,

None to scold for my long nails,

None to see what I wear,

None to fight with me,

None to see my unusual silence,

None to see the reason of my smile,

None to see if I oiled my hair,

None to hear my stupid stories,

None to stop me from waking up late.

 

I am independent,

But did I ever ask for it?

I am away from MY place,

In a place I knew none,

Alone I have started my journey,

An addition of account on my name,

But no free expenditures.

 

Some joined my journey,

There are a bucket full like me,

Some started to notice my silence,

Some started listening me,

Some fought with me, made me smile,

The journey smoothened a bit!

Some cared, some didn't,

Some alike, some different,

Some became family, some contacts.

 

It is tough but not impossible,

I do miss, but I am happy,

Tears do troll down,

But lips do touch my ears,

I take my decisions now,

I create choices for me and choose,

I grow everyday, I learn everyday,

No place is as beautiful as home,

No group better than family.

 

I am just an individual in the crowd,

But I create the crowd,

There are more stars down than on the sky,

 

I am part of it now!
