Being A Girl

Does it make life any easier ?

I would rather say no ..

The piercing eyes of society 

She seems so trapped in ..

The plight of being called a burden 

Despite the fact you are well 

Off on your own feet ..

Her dreams fall 

Deaf on the ears of the providers ..

Her every right denied ..

She is rather told to mend others dreams 

She is treated with sympathy 

For her gender 

While she wished 

She was respected for being 

A beautiful individual ...

And in the darkest nooks of 

The society 

And even at the safest corners of a home

She is ill-treated 

And humiliated ...

Being a girl isn't so easy ...
