Belongings
Belongings
The corner and the corridor passage
The walls portraying stories,
The window giving a wider view;
Of the green and lush foliage.
Early morning Koo-ooo of the Koel
Or Ku Ku of the Cuckoo;
Mind rushes back to the days,
Where loneliness was at bay.
Home full of chitter-chatter
The noise was still pleasant
Music to the ear;
The hustle and bustle of the neighborhood
Was a prove of living together.
Though daily chores and studying was routine
Never humdrum;
Luxuriating on a sofa
Watching television always a premium.
The longing to go back to the building that housed
My childhood and youth;
HOME, where the love dwells, has reminiscences of past
Is surely heaven on Earth where the heart can rest.
