It's been years since I've left you,

But my eyes still have your view!

You've seen my dreams, passion, and everything,

But never revealed anything to anyone!

You've witnessed my blooming first love,

And also wiped my tears when it got crushed!

Seen my fear and nightmares during exams,

But upheld me today for what I am!

Fights with siblings for the TV remote,

Our sweet-bitter memories there still float

During my first-ever stint with rolling chapati,

You still linger with that burnt smell!

Those gigglings while having a sleepover with cousins,

You had always bottled up our teenage discussions!

I can see myself reliving my childhood,

Every time I visit you to feel good!
