Bitter
Bitter
I have seen,
Light streak bringing promise of dark
The wildest fern
Carry the badge of starvation
Rains, with thirsty hopes
In the bottom lines
To the highest point
Signals spoke of death
Life- far ahead
My frozen palm lay under
A bough of lovebirds
For a moment good
When day hails
Churning all the potions
Into butterflies
On a graveyard
No disease, no moon.
Heaven was too far-
I lay under
The creams of vanilla
Taste sweeter in night
Periwinkle, pansy, roses
This cascading love
Hurts more than a life
Too much.
