Blood Moon

Another full blood moon

Hope in hearts bloomed

A new chapter in life 

would erase pervading gloom

Alas! was short-lived

Clouds marched across

Pulling black tarpaulin cover

Rain in rage opened its sprinklers

Drowning hope forever 

The moon peeped through the misty veil 

Biding time for yells to quell

Smug as ever

Wars are fought

not with unequal

Enraged clouds in retaliation 

Created a din

Thundering with fury

Striking with electrifying lightening

Putting fear into the minds of men

Shaking confidence 

Blood Moon smiled 

Through lips red

At all the drama enacted

Eclipsing fear, rage
