We are all poets (week 4)

We are all poets in this poetic  world 

However, big or small, may be 

Writing our hearts out 

of pain, romance and melancholy 

Some carve out time to write 

from the daily routine 

Some look at the skies 

for inspiration and yet 

achieve nothing 

Still others write best 

when in deep sleep 

Wake up and draw a blank 

spend rest of the day 

in misery

No need to stick 

to prescribed formats 

No need to bite finger nails 

when poems don't rhyme 

write what comes to mind 

that will 

 heal a broken heart 

 guide a lost soul 

And you would have 

done a big service 

to humanity

Oh! This life would be 

so unmusical 

like an untuned violin 

without poetry.
