It's really a boon 

To be a singleton

In this scenario

Among the stereotypical Patriarchs.

I'm feeling blessed

To be the child

Of my loving, 

Understanding parents. 

They have been my backbone

In all my decisions

That I take and guide me

To the right path. 

Wish to be their child

In my next birth too

If I were born again. 

But I don't wish it too.

Wish to stay away

From the battalion of questions

From my well-wishers

"How will you manage in your last days?"

This question has haunted me

A number of times, 

But I have faith in God,

Definitely, God will guide and protect me.
