Box Of Yarn

What are we,

If not our friends?

Like a box of yarn

Each of different colors.

We unroll ourselves

To the ones close to us.

And lend a tiny piece

To give them our shade.

And imbibe their tone,

So we are of a new hue.

We sew a part of ourselves

And end up being spun.

What are we,

If without our friends?

Like a box of yarn

With only colors of chrome.
