CHILDREN

The Earth with tears said to God 

"Lord, you have given me 

Topaz and Emeralds,

Rubies and Diamonds,

Greens and Brown,

Rivers, valleys and seas. 

But I yearn to hear 

some soothing sounds,

Laughter and giggles,

In which I wish to drown.

With innocence abound."

Lord said "Worry not my child. You shall be blessed with bundles of joy.

Do not cry. You shall see me, my reflection in them. Innocence personified.

No envy, no hatred. Joy everywhere. 

Playing around. Laughter and mirth.
