I've drifted along life's face sublime

On destiny's deserted road since my prime,

I've laughed at fate and flouted time

No, I never thought of life as a boon;

Yes, I did dream of the stars and the moon,

But alas, in the glaring shine of the noon

I had always thought of myself as me,

Little did I realize "me" was a part of my destiny

Now I weep when I think of myself as "Me"
