College Days

I’ve been hatched anew, indispensably here

Served with good and bad days, both unforgetful

Though it’s my second abode

It’s more secure than the first

Where my parents reside

There's a huge difference between

The two states of my mind

While I’m sleeping at my hostel

And at the ancestral home

Being wanted and unwanted, respectively

College is dominantly about friends and love

Your crush mingling with another boy or gal

I’m always excited to go back there

Because whilst I grew inside the school

I’m evolving in the university

Curbing my enthusiasm

Is not the goal of this institution

It feeds my instincts

And famishes the insecurities

And it wants me to

Become more of a human

And less of a devil

And stay between an Angel and the God
