Come Back Home If It Ever Rains

I hope it rains

so you'd find your way back home

back from where you left

there's no one out there 

or well,

i hope there's no one out there 

who thinks about you the way i do

who writes about you the way i do

I hope it rains every time 

every time you leave the place

there shouldn't be anybody

who takes you away from home 

giving you away is like 

taking out the poetry off my poems,

you give cause to these words 

as they shower in my mind

right where we planted those flowers in our little paradise 

i hope it rains,

so you'd come home 

you would open the door

and find me again

the clear skies,

sun shining bright 

i hope you find me again someday
